PEDRO RIOS
Pedro (De Leon) Rios, 51, of New Buffalo, MI passed away suddenly on Saturday March 2nd 2019. Growing up Pedro always made his mother proud by being a responsible and caring young man since a very age, known by his family as 'Pin'.
His ambition and self-sacrificing spirit helped him make life changing decisions to better his family and give them a promising future by starting off with a small family business.
First known as part of 'Los Panchos' in Sister Lakes and later on as the Founder of Rios Mexican Grill in Michigan and Indiana, Pedro had the chance to meet many people, everyone who knew him can agree that Pedro's persona perfectly embodied qualities such as being a leader while always staying humble.
Pedro's charisma and charm made him well known wherever he went and for that reason, many would like to contribute at this time, this page will give anyone who would like to help an opportunity to do so. A public service celebrating Pedro's life will take place, Thursday, March 7at 1p.m. at Sommerfeld Chapel in New Buffalo, MI. Visitation with the family is on Wednesday, March 6, from 3-8pm at the funeral home.
Pedro married Maria Gasca on September 10, 1988. He survived by his beautiful wife; 6 cherished children: Pedro (Jennifer) Rios, Marysol Rios, Cristal Rios, Francisco Rios, Esmeralda Rios and Alberto Rios; his adored grandchildren: Yuri X, Micah, Abdiel, Ze, Nova and Baxter. His mother: Armandina De Leon Rios; brother- Juan (Arce), Raul (Matilde), Armando Rios, and Rene Rios; Sisters- Margarita (Luis) Mendoza, Emma Castano- Rios, Herlinda Rios, Leticia (Dago) Sanchez and Martha (Vicente) Sanchez.
